Carl D. Oesterle, Sr.

Carl D. Oesterle, Sr., age 86, of Webberville, MI, passed away on October 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born on September 24, 1935 in Webberville, Michigan, the son of Melvin and Marguerite (Vorce) Oesterle. He graduated from Dansville Schools in 1954 and attended MSU before enlisting and serving in the army. On October 21, 1961, he married Carole J. Monroe in Webberville, Michigan.

Carl was a life-long Webberville resident. For the first half of his life, he was a farmer then later he became a master electrician and owned his own business. He enjoyed time with his family; camping, fishing and was proud of all their accomplishments. He loved feeding the fish at his pond, mowing his lawn, and playing with his black labs. He was an avid music and nature lover. Carl also had a passion for photography and shared that passion with his children. He and Carole traveled all over the United States on motorcycles and in their RV. Their travelogue adventure riding motorcycles to Alaska in the 1980’s was well-known. He was a member of the Millville United Methodist Church.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carole J. Oesterle, and four children, Carl Oesterle, Jr. of Mason, Cheryl (Mark) Brooks of Dansville, Charissa (Steve) Townsend of Jenison, and Charlene (Ted) Sinnaeve of Dansville; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ann Nims and Paul Oesterle.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Millville United Methodist Church, 1932 M-52, Stockbridge, MI. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, October 14, 2021, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., as well as Friday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Alchin Cemetery in Webberville.
