Allene Fletcher, of Stockbridge, MI, age 90, passed away on January 30, 2023 at Chelsea Hospital. Allene was born on January 05, 1933 in Salyersville, KY to Wick and Elsie (Minix) Howard.
She had lived in the Stockbridge area since she was five years old. She attended several churches in the area including the Family Tabernacle in Gregory, the Stockbridge Church of Christ, and Crossroads Community Church. She worked for many years at Precision Controls in Ann Arbor, MI, retiring in 1998. She liked conversation and being the center of attention. She was involved in the Chelsea Senior Center, liked to go out to eat, and she loved baking and going shopping.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Michael) Wetherbee of Brooklyn; two grandchildren, Brandie and Patrick; and one great-grandson, Brendan; and two sisters, Linda (Jr) Clark of Lansing, and Judy (Dean) Leach of Horton. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fletcher, her parents, and ten siblings.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at Oaklawn Cemetery in Stockbridge with Jeff Howard officiating. Arrangements by Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home.
