Duane I. McCann, age 83, of Leslie, MI, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on July 30, 2020. He was born on October 17, 1936 in Bunkerhill Township, son of Delbert and Donna (McIntee) McCann. On July 28, 1956, in Mason, Duane married Margaret M. (Hudkins), and she preceded him in death.
Duane lived in the Leslie/Bunkerhill Township area all his life. He loved to hunt, golf, go Up North, and watch and cheer on his favorite MSU Basketball team.
He is survived by his son, Greg (Peggy) McCann of Stockbridge, and daughter, Cynthia Knapp of Leslie; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as one brother, Delbert McCann, Jr. of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister, Jean Feher, and two brothers, Tom McCann and Jim McCann.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge, with Pastor Toby Teague officiating. Funeral Directors are following current CDC recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and those in attendance will be instructed accordingly; masks must be worn.
