Jon W. Spaulding, age 63, of Chelsea, MI, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on June 17, 1958 in Ann Arbor, MI the son of Rolland and Gretchen (Burg) Spaulding.
Jon had worked for Chelsea Milling Company for 38 years, retiring in 2018. He loved to mushroom hunt all over the state of Michigan. He also enjoyed deer hunting and golfing.
Surviving are his fiancee, Holly Bulko, his children, Jenifer (Christopher Perez) Spaulding of TN, Jon Jr. (Deena) Spaulding of AR, and Dylan Spaulding of Chelsea; Holly’s children, Nicholee (John) Houle of Chelsea, and Maclain Stedman; brothers and sisters, Jeff (Andrea) Spaulding of MD, Lee (Art) Tremper of Chelsea, Daniel (Kathy) Spaulding of Jackson, Shawn (Rick) Slane of Manchester, and Bill (Michele) Spaulding of Chelsea; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Abigail M. Uphaus.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 11:00 a.m., from the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea with Deacon Mike Martin officiating. Burial will take place at Vermont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the family.
