Charles R. "Chuck" Chamberlain

Charles Richard “Chuck” Chamberlain, of Chelsea, MI, passed away on November 29, 2024 at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. He was born the son of Richard and Anne (Hellner) Chamberlain on July 10, 1948 in Ann Arbor, MI. On August 18, 1990, he married Mary Ann (Swims) in Ann Arbor.

Charles loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a master mechanic, working for the Sesi Lincoln Mercury Company for 30 years, and loved all things automobiles and tractors. He proudly served in the United States Army in Europe during the Vietnam War. Chuck enjoyed working outdoors with his family and uncles splitting wood, and was a great handyman and tinkerer. He was a hard worker, funny, kind, and was dedicated to his family. He was generous and forgiving, always looking out for his community and regularly took care of the Lima Township Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his son, William (Rebecca) Kaltz-Hall; grandchildren, Liam and Kaeli; his sisters, Patty and Sherry; and his brother, Richard (Beth) Chamberlain; as well as many cousins and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Haddox officiating. A visitation will take place two hours before the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Burial will take place at Vermont Cemetery in Chelsea.
