Paul A. Gailey, of Stockbridge, MI, age 73, passed away on December 5, 2023 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Paul was born in Stockbridge, MI on September 25, 1950, the son of Howard and Lora (Heinz) Gailey. He had lived in the Stockbridge and Dansville area for all of his life.
Paul was a dedicated and skilled carpenter, building homes for over 20 years for Harris Homes. He was a true outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing, deer and coyote hunting, and mushroom foraging. He also enjoyed gardening and following NASCAR. He loved animals of all kinds, and enjoyed spending time with his family. In 1991, Paul married Kitty A. (Richardson), and they shared over 32 years of marriage.
Surviving are his wife and soulmate, Kitty, one son, James (Nikki) Gailey of Mason, one granddaughter, Harper; his siblings, Rose Titus of Leslie, Howard Gailey of Dansville, Lucille Ordiway of Dansville, Fred Gailey of Dansville, Joe Gailey of Highland, MI, Frank Gailey of Dansville, and Lorna Gailey of Dansville; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Gailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Place, 676 W. Dansville Road, Mason, MI 48854 on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. followed by a brief sharing of memories from friends and family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter in Mason.
