Bob Harding passed away on June 10, 2022, at the age of 88, in his hometown of Pinckney, Michigan.
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years demonstrated his courage in facing life challenges with an indomitable will and an everlastingly positive outlook. He never met a stranger and collected new friends with each person he met. Despite the pain, Bob never gave up and stayed strong until the end.
Family meant everything to Bob. He left school at an early age to help support his family when his father became ill, and he modeled that sense of family and work ethos throughout his life. He joined the Army and honorably served his country. Bob was an accomplished builder, electrician, mechanic, spelunker, farmer, sewer, crocheter, whistler, pyrotechnic engineer, heavy equipment operator, excavator, and life advisor.
Bob met the love of his life, Mary, while chaperoning a school trip. They supported each other’s businesses and careers every step of the way. He was a proud father of their two daughters, Marcia and Anita. Bob’s passion for family continued when he moved to Arizona, and he expanded his family to include Joseph, his “Arizona son.”
Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his father, Florian, and mother, Lillian “Mabel” (Liddell) Harding.
He is survived by siblings, George (Arlene) Harding and Rita (Robert) Weatherholt; his children, Marcia (Kenneth) Ransom, Anita (Thomas) Jones, and Joseph (Michelle) Carusone; his grandchildren, Ashlee, Andrea, Trinity, Blake, Kenny, Korben, and Chad; and his great-grandchildren, Kayden, Lillian, Anna, John, Jay, and one on the way. Bob’s cherished rescued dog, Daisy, has been adopted by Marcia.
