Pearl June Oetjens, age 97, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Grass Lake, MI, passed away on January 24, 2023 at her daughter's home in Zephyrhills, FL.
Pearl was born on August 18, 1925 in Royal Oak, MI to Angas and Helen (Westwood) Garlow. Pearl was very active in many clubs and activities. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She was a member of the American Legion. She also worked with the Shriner's for over 50 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon D. Mastalier, and Charlene (Scott) Rouster, and six grandchildren, Connie Jean and and Stephen Mastalier, Jaime and Richard Oetjens, Michelle Anne and Jacob David Rouster; many great-grandchildren; and half sister, Cheryl Garlow.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles R. Oetjens, and her second husband, Rollie Armes, as well as son-in-law, Thomas Mastalier.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta Twp, MI, where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Charles. Arrangements by Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea.
