Margot Pfaendtner, of Jackson, MI, passed away at the Countryside Care Facility in Jackson, MI on July 23, 2024.
She was born the daughter of Charles E. and Mary (Hartner) Geisler on August 18, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. She married Joseph R. Pfaendtner on December 12, 1969 in Detroit, MI.
In her youth, Margot loved to go to her family cottage on the St. Clair River. This was a favorite topic of conversation in recent years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting, playing Bridge, doing crossword puzzles and was very patriotic. Her sense of humor and wit were appreciated by many.
She is survived by her children, Mark Pfaendtner, Lisa (Marcus) Kaemming, and Kristen Pfaendtner. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Benjamin (Bridget) Kaemming. Nicholas Kaemmimg, and Matthew Pfaendtner; brothers, Don (Rhonda) Geisler and Greg Geisler; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and her husband, Margot was preceded in death by her sisters, Jacqueline DeMascio, Suzanne Bailey, and Denise D’Agostino.
A gathering of friends and family will take place at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, in Chelsea, Michigan on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. A private burial will be held at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit or Ele's Place in Ann Arbor.
