Mable A. Wahl, age 78, of Munith, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born in Stockbridge, MI on August 7, 1942, the daughter of Dale and Ethel (Stanfield) Messner. Mable had lived in the Munith area her entire life. She worked at Chelsea Milling Company for 27 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved mowing her grass.
Surviving are her children, Steven (Patrice Barbour) Wahl of Jackson, Lisa Shilling of Charlotte, and Mitchell Wahl of Wayne County; her siblings: Janet (Phil) Criner of Jackson, Sharon (Bruce) Fidler of Jackson, and Roger Messner of Munith; several grandchildren, including Dale and Katie Wahl, and extended family Hannah and Emma Marshall; as well as Steve’s father, Jason Wahl of Charlotte. Mable was preceded in death by her siblings, Shirley Clemons and Ray Messner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge. Funeral directors are following current Michigan Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for COVID-19; those attending will be instructed accordingly. Social distancing must be followed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Henrietta Twp. Fire Department or Stockbridge Area Emergency Services Association (SAESA).
