Phyllis Ann Simon, born August 15, 1943, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday October 2, 2020 while surrounded by family and friends.
Phyllis was born to Holland and Hazel Wesley, who both preceded her in death. Phyllis married Gerald Simon, who also preceded her in death, and Richard Casto, who survives her.
Phyllis is also survived by daughter, Brenda (Joe) Bennett, son, Gerald (aka Bub) (Joanna) Simon, and daughter, Shelli (Shane) Hadley; three step-children, Richard Casto, Kim Casto, and Brandi Casto; 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Knebl, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held for Phyllis at the UAW Hall, 8975 Textile Rd., Ypsilanti, MI, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Phyllis to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements by Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea.
