Lynette Lou Powell, age 65, of Chelsea, Michigan, passed away at Trinity Health Ann Arbor on July 20, 2024.
She was born the daughter of Edward and Marjorie (Robards) Schiller on October 25, 1958 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On October 4, 2003, she married Jeffery G. Powell, and he survives.
Lynette was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church and later in life attended the Chelsea Church of the Nazarene. She loved her grandchildren, traveling, and crafting. She enjoyed flowers and especially loved her home and community of Chelsea. Most of all she loved her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Trisha (Anthony) Mitchner, Travis Terns, Jason (Kimberly) Powell, and William (Regina) Powell; grandchildren, Layla and Stella Powell, and Lucy Powell. Lynette is also survived by her mother, Marjorie Plumb, and her brother, Ken (Margery) Schiller. Lynette was preceded in death by her father, Edward Schiller, and her step-father, Donald Plumb.
A funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Chelsea, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Kurt Hutchens and Pastor Jeff Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., as well as at the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
